Weathermatic 12000 Series Valve
Weathermatic 12024 EF Valve
Description:
This is Weathermatic's "economy" plastic valve line. The valve is only available in 1" size, but is available in 2 configurations one with threaded ends, and one with glued ends. A glued end valve is glued directly to the pipe, which makes it difficult to remove for repairs. Think of the glue-on model as a "throw away" valve if it breaks. Two sister valves do not have flow controls so I do not recommend them. The part numbers for the valves without flow controls are the same except they do not contain the letter "F". Other than that they are identical to the 12000 series.

- A flow control stem ("F" models only).
- Molded shock cone to reduce water hammer.
- Normally closed.
- Stainless steel spring.
- Reverse flow porting to reduce diaphragm stretching.
- 125 PSI rating.

How Roosevelt Spent the
Bail-Out Money in 1937!
This is Timberline Lodge in Northern Oregon. It seems fitting to take a look at it today, as it was built during the depression as a WPA project to create jobs. Today millions of people every year still enjoy this National Historic Landmark. Those bail-out dollars have had a lasting impact!

Quick Review: Recommended. This book provides a good background on irrigation, and will help you decide if an irrigation system will be of benefit for you. This would be an excellent book for someone planning to hire a contractor to install an irrigation system. It will provide you with what you need to know to evaluate the contractor's proposal and work. See full review.

Is your shower not working Monday and Thursday AM? To conserve water Los Angeles is limiting yard watering to 2 days a week. The same two days for everyone! In theory, this could cause some massive water pressure problems if everyone turned on their sprinklers at the same time. So has it?
