Unfortunately, I simply don't have the time to answer individual questions regarding irrigation systems. For the last few years questions have consumed so much of my time that I have not been able to update or add to the content on the website. Hopefully now I can get back to updating and adding to the content. Here are a few suggestions for getting answers to your questions:

Step One:

The best place to start if you have a question is with a search of this website. The answers to almost every question I have ever been sent is here if you dig a little.

Step Two:

Call one of the irrigation manufacturer's help lines:

Step Three:

Try going down to a local irrigation supply store, one that specializes in irrigation equipment. I haven't found that the employees at the big hardware-discount stores are knowledgeable on irrigation. I'm often in those stores and I overhear a lot of bad advice being given by their employees, some just flat wrong. There are some shining exceptions, of course. But you are better off going to a professional specialty store for advice.

Step Four:

Hire a professional irrigation consultant: try American Society of Irrigation Consultants. Or ask at a local irrigation specialty store for names of local designers.
